Mission / Profil
You will be involved in Big Data projects run by Davidson for its customers in varied sectors (Gaming, Wealth, Telecoms, Finance, etc.), working as a developer on existing or developing platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring technology developments
- Creating software architectures for improving calculation and resource efficiency
- Developing in Python (occasionally R), JS
- Helping to encrypt solutions (poker planning) and prioritising (backlog)
- Handling large volumes of data, challenging traditional calculation methods
- Debugging, bug fixes
- Providing support and advice to users
- Delivering training and presentations (meetups)
Skills (pre-existing or to be acquired)
- You will have a postgraduate degree and some initial successful dev experience
- Conversant with Python, R or Java, Scala, Hadoop technologies and environments
- Some initial successful experience in IT/Big Data development
- Agile experience
